OCT 29, 2026CUSTOMER NOTICE

Port Congestion Fee

Dear Valued Customer,

An upcoming infrastructure project at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach will affect freight operations and your upcoming shipments. This notice explains the expected impact.

Beginning November 7, 2026, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will completely close the Vincent Thomas Bridge in both directions for approximately 16 months to undergo a major deck replacement project.

Port terminals will remain fully operational, but the bridge closure will eliminate a key route for drayage trucks entering and leaving the port complex. All commercial traffic will use regional detours. Local authorities expect severe traffic bottlenecks on these routes, longer turnaround times for drivers, and possible delivery delays across the region.

To offset the increased operational costs, extended driver hours, and transit delays associated with these detours, a Port Congestion Fee of $150.00 will be applied to all container movements routed through these ports starting November 7, 2026.

$150.00 Port Congestion Fee · per container movement via LA / Long Beach ports · effective Nov 7, 2026

To minimize disruptions to your supply chain, we are working with our logistics partners to optimize alternative routing. Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership during these regional infrastructure changes.

Please contact your account representative with questions about a specific shipment or for further clarification.
